France - Cycling Medoc Vineyards and Ocean Coast 5 to 7 days.

Self-guided cycling tour in the Medoc area

More than one million chateaux adorn the Medoc territory, whether they are historical domains, large production, simply family vineyards.

The West of the vast peninsula of the Medoc is shrouded in light and sun with the Atlantic Ocean and its beaches bordered with a huge forest whereas the East of the Gironde Estuary offers views of the winegrowing Medoc.

First, you will ride the “wine road” which picks off the most well-known chateaux: Giscours, Margaux, Pauillac, Lafite Rothschild, Latour and Mouton Rothschild…and you will explore the winegrowing areas and the most prestigious wine worldwide.

This Cycling Tour around The Medoc offers a great variety of landscapes; marshes, horse breeding and aquaculture. Windmills and old castles on top of the hills. In the villages you will find some superb Roman Churches, and somewhere in the land, some unique Gallo-Roman sites.

This cycling journey is a succession of bicycle paths trough forests and flat roads alongside streams and vineyards to discover the exceptional natural surroundings.
