Normandy - Cycling from D Day Beaches to Mont Saint Michel

The Cotentin is the peninsula of Normandy in the Channel sea : From the great D Day Beaches where the Landing took place during WW2, this self-guided bike tour will take you from the cliffs of Utah Beach to the Mont St Michel 275 km later, after crossing the marshes (birds sanctuary), the Vire valley and the Norman wooded countryside: a great tour of Normandy! Most of the route is on cycling paths. Apart from beautiful natural sites, this tour is a journey through History, from Middle Age to nowadays.

The route is entirely marked and it follows cycle paths or small secondary roads with little traffic. The tour can be done in one way or another, starting from Mont St Michel and ending on the Landing Beaches.
