This guided trek is a dicovery of one of the most beautiful valleys of the Pyrenees.

Everyday the accommodation place changes. You walk from place to place. We reserve the rooms, the dinners, luggage transfers from hotel to hotel, the local guide expert of the region.

The Pyrenees are a huge and varied mountain range stretching from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean sea.

There still exists a valley where time has not stopped and where the living still look as it was long ago, a subtle mix of traditions and modernity.

The Asp Valley is considered as one of the most beautiful of the Pyrenees.

Here the mountains are green and agriculture dominates and tourism is not the main activity. The shepherds make cheese while flocks of ewes take care of the landscape. Local flavours, a cheese called “the Pyrenees” will be part of your meal as well as Jurançon White Wine and a local soup called the “Garbure”.

Day 1

Arrival in Pau. Transfer to Accous and your first hotel. Depending upon your arrival time, enjoy a warm-up walk in the Bedous valley and discover roman chapels and charming nestled hamlets. +/-50m, 2 h walk.

Day 2

A loop walk with views on the valley towards Aydius, a village perched between the forest and the summits. Different birds of prey can be easily observed. -/+ 850 m. 5 h walk.

Day 3

We leave small Accous valley to reach the Anitch forest, and the Boué shepherd shed. A high mountain path leads to one of the most beautiful Pyrenees scenery, the glacial Cirque de Lescun surrounded with numerous limestone summits. +1000 m/-600m, 5 h walk.

Day 4

Walk in the heart of the Cirque towards a famous climbing spot, the Ansabere Needles with its dramatic limestone pinnacles. Today's different landscapes are an absolute delight. Night in Lescun.-/- 1000 m, 5h30 walk.

Day 5

The cool waterfall of Sanchese makes the climb up the small Anaye valley easier, where the izards (a kind of endemic chamois or wild goat) like to hide. Outstanding view on the Orgues de Camplong cliffs and over Lescun village. Night in Lescun +/-700 m, 5 h walk.

Day 6

We leave Lescun Cirque by Lhers pastoral plateau on the GR10. This GR crosses the Pyrenees from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. Descend to the medieval hamlets of Borce and Etsaut. +850-1100 m, 5h30 walk.

Day 7

Your stay ends after breakfast. Transfer to Pau, the capital of the Bearn region.
